A Content Management System (CMS), at a basic level, allows you to access a website and make changes to it in a simple, user-friendly environment, so you don't need a degree in quantum web development!
For more complex websites, such as e-commerce or database driven sites, the CMS allows you to manage every facet of the site, from products, pricing, delivery, imagery, etc.
