Internal Communications

There is a key audience which so many people forget about completely - the internal one.
They spend ages communicating with the external audience, creating fantastic campaigns, which deliver amazing branded messages, in innovative ways.

They then stick a badly designed poster on the notice board, and expect it to be enough.

Internal communications is about weighing up the communication needs and wants of the business, with the communication needs and wants of the employee. They are rarely the same, and have to be carefully managed.

If your internal audience is not on board, they are not "singing from the same hymn sheet", and at some point your message will become confused.

It is, in many cases, your internal staff who represent your brand at the coal face direct to the customer.
